Hurricane Michael wreaked havoc on Georgia agriculture and was a Category 3 when it hit our region of Southwest Georgia. We personally lost approximately 600 acres of our pecan business to this storm but are ultimately thankful for safety.
Georgia is the #1 producer of pecans in the USA. The pecan industry suffered a $560 million loss and the effects of Hurricane Michael will be generational for pecan farmers as it takes 7-10 years for pecan trees to begin producing nuts.
Purchasing products such as ours helps in the recovery process of the pecan industry. We greatly appreciate your business and support now more than ever.
